Free native soaps from DA-BAR -funded project distributed As part of the regular handwashing campaign in line with the preventive measures to fight against COVID-19 in the country,

 

The Quezon Agricultural Research Experiment Station (QARES) of the DA-Regional Field Office (RFO) CALABARZON and the Office of the Municipal Agriculturist start to distribute their soaps— made from duhat, cacao, sapinit, bignay, and lipote —for free to the local consumers of vegetables and agricultural products on 5 April 2020 in Kalayaan, Laguna.

 

The soaps were part of the project “Underutilized Fruit Crops” supported by the Department of Agriculture-Bureau of Agricultural Research (DA-BAR), through its National Technology Commercialization Program (NTCP) in 2014. ###

 

The soaps that were made from duhat, cacao, sapinit, bignay, and lipote are being ready for distribution to local buyers in Kalayaan, Laguna.
