The Interdisciplinary Biofuels Research Studies Center (IBRSC) of the University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB), in partnership with the Department of Agriculture-Bureau of Agricultural Research (DA-BAR), holds the 2015 Philippine International Biomass Conference to explore the market potentials of biomass as source of bio-based fuels and energy.

The conference serves as a venue for information sharing on the status and market potentials of biomass in the country, as well as innovative technologies that are commercially-competitive and financially-sustainable in the conversion to bio-based fuels and energy of agricultural and forestry crops and residues and municipal solid wastes. It is attended by various stakeholders composed of national and local investors, farmers’ groups and cooperatives, transportation sector, local and international bioenergy players, government agencies, local government units, state universities and colleges, research institutions, and major financial institutions from different parts of the country.
