Seeing the distraught brought by typhoon Yolanda particularly in the agriculture sector of Eastern Visayas (Region 8), the group of Sr. Eloisa David from the Agricultural Rural Alternative Development Option (ARADO) Foundation, Inc. tied up with the Department of Agriculture (DA), through the Bureau of Agricultural Research (BAR), High Value Crops Development Program (HVCDP), and DA-Regional Field Office 8, along with other agencies to help uplift the lives of affected Filipinos in the region.

Soybean, a low maintenance crop with considerable health benefits, was initially planted in February. Serving as an offshoot activity, a Farmers’ Field Day successfully convened more than 360 farmers.
