The DA-Bureau of Agricultural Research (BAR) kicked off its week-long celebration to commemorate the bureau’s 35th anniversary.

Led by bureau director Dr. Junel B. Soriano, the opening ceremony highlighted the presentation of the bureau’s significant accomplishments and contribution on the agriculture and fisheries research for development through formulated programs and activities, and supported projects.

Other highlights of the ceremony included the launching of the DA-BAR audiovisual presentation and introduction of the Sustainable Challenge Award.

DA assistant secretary-designate for Operations Arnel de Mesa delivered the message of Undersecretary for Operations and Chief-of-Staff Dr.Leocadio S. Sebastian via a pre-recorded video.
