BAR Primer

This publication features the Bureau's profile in a gist. It contains its vision, mission, mandate, R&D goals, R&D thrusts, and the management’s 8-point R&D strategy.

Technology Brochures

To effectively facilitate technology awareness and information dissemination, BAR publishes some of the recent technologies in a format that is easy to understand and would provide the clients easy access to information. Currently, the Bureau has published 10 technology brochures.

The brochure also shows how to go about the website, its contents, and database collections.

RDE Grant System

This brochure contains information regarding different types of research grants that can be availed of from BAR, who are eligible and what are the specific requirements.

Institutional Development Grant

In its effort to improve the institutional and manpower capabilities of the overall R&D system, BAR implements the Institutional Development Grant. This grant includes the following:

CPAR Opertational Manual

This is a 28-page booklet containing the operationalization of the Community-based Participatory Action Research (CPAR). Specifically it contains: Overview, Goals and Objectives, Guidelines, Process Flow of CPAR, and Management of CPAR Projects. CPAR is designed and implemented nationwide through RIARCs with the active participation of the farmers in the community in coordination with scientists, researchers, extensionists, and other experts in the fields of agriculture and fisheries.

CRGM Manual

This is manual serves as a facilitating tool and a guide for project proponents as well as evaluators of R&D projects. It consists of three sections: a brief overview of BAR; discussion on the national RDE agenda and program for agriculture and fisheries; and RDE grant system implementing guidelines. Through this publication, BAR hopes to strengthen the system of coordination and monitoring and evaluation of research projects to avoid duplication and waste of resources.
