Atty. Arthur C. Yap, formally turns over his appointed position as the secretary of the Department of Agriculture (DA) to his successor, Bernie G. Fondevilla during a simple ceremony held at the BSWM Convention Hall.
 
Attending the ceremony by various key officials from DA-attached agencies, staff bureaus, partners from private sector, and people from the media.
 
DA Undersecretary for Policy and Planning Segfredo Serrano gives his testimonials on Yap’s accomplishments during his term.
 
DA Undersecretary Salvador Salacup discusses how Yap worked as a skillful crisis manager by enumerating some problems wherein Yap handled them properly. In his presentation, he mentioned Yap as a workaholic and prudent servant in all his undertakings and stressed the former Secretary’s love for innovations.
 
Staff members from the Office of the Secretary gives their testimonies on how is Yap as a boss. In this photo, DA Regional Drector Lealyn Ramos of Region 10 narrates a story on how Yap treated farmers whenever he visited the region. He further that Yap is a good friend and mentor not only to the DA’s officers and employees but also to the farmers in the rural areas in the regions.
 
The longest serving secretary of the Department of Agriculture, Yap, thanks the important people who made his term possible. He also extends his gratitude to the various DA officials for supporting him in all the programs he initiated.
 
The Department of Agriculture Employees Association (DAEA) awards a plaque of appreciation to outgoing DA Secretary Yap. The awarding is headed by Ms Beth De Leon, President of DAEA.
 
In his speech, Sec. Fondevilla thanks President Arroyo and Sec Yap for entrusting him the responsibility of being the next agriculture secretary. He assures the public that he would continue Yap’s programs and will do more, innovate more on the breakthroughs and initiatives that his forerunner has done in the Department.
