| Halfway into the year, division and unit heads of the Bureau of Agricultural Research (BAR) gather for the Midyear Review and Planning Workshop on 2-4 July 2008 in Lucban, Quezon to conduct operational planning and program performance review of the previous semester (January–June). |

| Planning Unit Head Joell H. Lales presents the agency performance report for the first semester of 2008 and likewise explains to the group the rationale and mechanics of the activity. To guide the group in the planning vis-à-vis the DA’s policy directives, Mr. Lales also presented the “DA FY 2009 Plan and Budget Proposal: Food Security Budget (P 76B DA proposed budget for 2009)” and a re-visit at “GMA Super Regions Allocation” |
