International Relations Unit (IRU)

Functions

Coordinates with other Philippine agencies on BAR’s international R&D/E concerns;
Strengthens the Bureau’s R&D/E linkages with international organizations and other countries;
Facilitates the payment of BAR’s membership dues to international associations and organizations;
Sources out and shares R&D/E information and opportunities from international organizations relevant to Philippine agriculture;
Explores new partnerships with other international organizations and agricultural R&D/E agencies of other governments under bilateral relationships; and
Coordinates and assists research related missions from various countries, governments, and international agencies.
