Applied Communication Division (ACD)
Functions
Publications Section
- Gather, package, and communicate RDE information and technologies to the different clientele through multimedia approach;
- Provide a scientific literature and exchange service with the members of the NaRDSAF and other institutions and organizations;
- Coordinate and facilitate financial grants and assistance through the Scientific Publications Grant (SPG) for the publication of books, journals, pamphlets, technical papers and conference proceedings; and
- Prepare key messages and speeches of the Director and/or the Assistant Director as the need arises.
Educational Communication Section
- Orchestrate the dissemination of research results of BAR-funded projects through conduct of regular seminar series;
- Enhance advocacy and communication of BAR programs in coordination with concerned divisions and units as well as the NaRDSAF partner intitutions through participation in local and internationally organized scientific conventions and exhibitions; and
- Conduct community mobilization and organization activities in the regions in support to operationalizing systematic and organized community-based initiatives (c/o Marlowe Aquino, PhD).
Scientific Literature System Section
- Provides and maintains scientific literature and exchange service with the members of NaRDSAF and other institutions;
- Serves as the repository of scientific information and related literature on agriculture and fisheries;
- Manages the BAR's linkages with Philippine e-library, and with local and international information services providers.
